Book excerpt: The word Atumism derives from ‘Atum,’ the manifestation of the All-Lord in creating the sphere of earth and the creature Adam. The words ‘Atumian’ and ‘Atumianity,’ addressed here by the meaning of ‘Human’ and ‘Humanity,’ are derived from ‘Atum’ who is ‘Adam.’ In the Egyptian literature, there is a thin line that differentiates ‘Atum’ and ‘Atum.’ Why denominate the Egyptian Religion by the term “Atumism”? The answer is found in multitude of diverse notions embedded in the Egyptian speech and makes the term in its profoundness the most right for a religion that has been of divine revelation millennia ahead of A. D. This book is a fusion of the earlier research titled “Ancient Egypt: The Primal Age of Divine Revelation, Volume I and II.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Book of Consciousness by Dr. Bara H. Loveland Have you ever wondered what Consciousness is, or the mind, the unconscious or Archetypes and Symbols – how they work and how to define these? Without arriving at the reach of Consciousness, there are numerous books on "consciousness;" there are conferences held, and groups searching for "consciousness," with dictionaries attempting to define it. Why have they not found the ultimate definition of Consciousness, to this day of the publication of The Book of Consciousness, in January 2011? Could Bara’s new book, The Book of Consciousness, hold the answer? Can it deliver the ultimate in Consciousness? There are many other questions, which science has not positively answered yet. Why is it that our “brain” (cerebrum), seat of the mind, has to be calmed from 40+ Hertz to 8 Hertz or less (literally put to sleep), in order to reach highest states of awareness, although the cerebrum is supposed to be the seat of the world ́s highest intelligence? Why is this "seat of highest intelligence" polluting the earth to the brink of dying of life? Why is the unconscious called unconscious, when it is able to construct meaningful dreams; and is there a difference between an Archetype and a Symbol, appearing in dreams and myths? Could a neurosis not be a disease? And what is it the mind really knows? Profound contemplation of Consciousness must lead to further questions about the origins of Archetypes and Symbols, about wisdom and similarities of ancient Stone Age Symbols, East Indian and Egyptian scriptures, Runes, Mayan glyphs and biblical Symbols, or world religions in general. One may wonder, why an Egyptian god is frequently named in Christian churches, and is mentioned in both, the Old and the New Testaments. Is God “He,” and could “He” exist? Could there be a different world behind our visible one, and could we have “Bio*Modulators” to sense the other world? What can we learn form a Germanic “king?” Is it possible that we have more than five senses and how many diseases could naturally exist? Can the DNA communicate, and how many laws exist in the universe? What is the meaning of certain Bible verses, and what could have been the message, Jesus gave the world on the cross? Is New Age wisdom contained in the Bible, and could it be that common science limits itself, when excluding miracles it could perform with ease, protecting the animals from harm? Are there more levels of logic than one? How could we realize or activate them? What is the role, our belief plays in our life and in science? The Book of Consciousness begins where common science ends. Be surprised by the innovative answers, with some published about 30 years ago by this author! Be captivated by the author’s authentic, new style; by the insights, humor and vivid experiences, enjoy the 40 figures and tables, as well as exercises, to reach altered states of awareness—naturally and at will. May The Book of Consciousness raise into Oneness the conscious of all those who read its 640 pages; may they be the "igniters," inspiring divine Oneness and Love in the perception of all! Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The discovery of the resting place of the great Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun [Tut.ankh.Amen] in November 1922 by Howard Carter and the fifth Earl of Carnarvon was the greatest archaeological find the world had ever seen. Despite its plundering by thieves in antiquity, the burial of the king lay intact with its nest of coffins and funerary shrines, surrounded by a mass of burial equipment arranged in three peripheral chambers. Following on from the first volume's account of the search for and initial discovery of the team, in the second volume Howard Carter recounts the discovery of the king's burial chamber: the breakthrough to the four protective shrines, the revelation of the quartz-sandstone sarcophagus, the king's three coffins (his own of pure gold) and the bejewelled mummy of the Pharaoh himself. Now available in the Bloomsbury Revelations series, the book includes over 150 photographs of the treasures that lay within the great burial chamber of Tutankhamun.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume offers a survey about what is known about the Ancient Egyptians' vision of the afterlife and an examination of these beliefs that were written down in books that were later discovered in royal tombs. The contents of the texts range from the collection of spells in the Book of the Dead, which was intended to offer practical assistance on the journey to the afterlife, to the detailed accounts of the hereafter provided in the Books of the Netherworld. The author looks closely at these latter works, while summarizing the contents of the Book of the Dead and other widely studied examples of the genre. For each composition, he discusses the history of its ancient transmission and its decipherment in modern times, supplying bibliographic information for any text editions. He also seeks to determine whether this literature as a whole presents a monolithic conception of the afterlife. The volume features many drawings from the books themselves.

The Book of the Dead is an ancient Egyptian funerary text, used from the beginning of the New Kingdom (around 1550 BCE) to around 50 BCE. This Student Work Book is for the student of hieroglyphs who wishes to extend their translation skills using real ancient Egyptian texts. The pages contain the hieroglyphic text and phonetic translation and should be used with the accompanying Reading & Answer Book which contains the literal and full translation. Most of the text is taken from the Papyrus of Any: The papyrus of Anwy (Any) was found at Thebes and was purchased by the British Museum in 1888. It measures 78 feet by 1 foot 3 inches and is the longest papyrus of the Theban Period. It is made up of 6 indivual parts. It contains a number of chapters of the Book of the Dead, mostly accompanied by illustrations. The titles of the chapters in the papyrus are written in red. In the following texts a phonetic (grey) translation of the hieroglyphs is provided to aid word identification in the Student Work Book and in the Reading & Answer Book, an English transliteration and a full literal translation is given for reading and study. This work is taken from the Papyrus of Anwy and other sources to complete the utterances of the Book of the Dead.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Book Of Martin Luther King, Jr. seeks to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by using the language of the very book that Dr. King himself cherish: The King James Bible. The first of seven planned volumes, it is about the world Martin was born into--a world of fear and violence. And though Writers Digest calls it "...a highly literate tribute to Dr. King...one that deserves a place on every bookshelf..." the author has been called "a traitor to his race..." for writing about Dr. King in this manner. Mr. Bevis answers by saying, "the truth is that we live in a society where it is fine for the majority to think of Charlton Heston--just an actor--as a Moses like leader, but where it is not OK to think of Dr. king--an ordained minister--as an apostle like Paul. There is a lot of hypocrisy here." He adds, "Dr. King truly was an apostle of God. And the ultimate proof is that he obeyed Jesus, never gave up or sold out, and eventually lay down his life for his fellow man. No man in American history is more deserving of being written about in this way."

Book excerpt: The first-of-its-kind exhibit cataloged here focuses on the women of Egypt from all levels of society in works compiled strictly from American collections by American curators. Because the quantity of written records is limited (though enormous in comparison to most early societies), there is still much guesswork involved in determining the place women held in Egyptian society. It is clear that, unlike most ancient and not-so-ancient societies, Egypt conferred on women the legal right to own property and to barter their own goods, which means a larger record for current study. The essays here are both erudite and fascinating to read; the illustrations are clear and well presented in conjunction with the text. 117 colour & 112 b/w illustrations

Book excerpt: A re-issue of the 1926 classic by James Churchward, The Lost Continent of Mu: Motherland of Men supplemented with fresh research and new material by the author's great-grandson. In the 1920s, James Churchward wrote a series of groundbreaking books about the lost continent of Lemuria which he called the land of Mu. The basic premises are these: • The Garden of Eden was not in Asia, but on a sunken continent in the Pacific Ocean. • The Biblical story of creation came not from the peoples of the Nile, but from this now submerged continent of Mu—the Motherland of Men. • Mu was an advanced civilization of 64 million inhabitants… He obtained the information by living with monks and translating unknown manuscripts. Over the years, his books have come to be considered occult classics. Now his great-grandson, Jack Churchward, has resurrected this valuable work and added his own research. Included: · The Lost Continent · The Land of Man’s Advent on Earth · Egyptian Sacred Volume, Book of the Dead · Symbols of Mu · North American’s Place Among the Ancient Civilizations · The Geological History of Mu · Ancient Religious Conceptions · Ancient Sacred Mysteries, Rites and Ceremonies
